390 col bags WVRC Cheque Pres to BAGS 2

Wreake Valley Rotary Club chose Birstall BAGs as recipients for their 2015 Watermead Challenge, a charity 5 mile run and 3 mile run at Watermead Country Park.   There were a record number of competitors and the race was a great success.  A whopping £2500 was raised!

This is the largest amount the club have ever been able to donate from the Watermead Challenge, and reflects the additional income from entrants this year, plus sponsorship from James Sellicks.  The money raised went towards refurbishment work carried out to rooms for the Urology Department at the Leicester General Hospital providing a relaxing and welcoming environment for patients and their families/friends.

The picture shows Liz Darlison and Lesley Merry receiving a Cheque from Nigel Coleman and David Fox, President.
